Step 1 of 3 · Your world

Set up your server

Sleeper, billed monthly. You will create an account and pay in the next two steps — nothing is charged yet.

Change your mind here rather than going back to pricing. The amount shown is the fallback rate; the exact charge in your currency is confirmed at checkout.

Where your world runs. Pick the one nearest your players — this cannot be changed after you order, and US pricing differs from EU. The exact amount is shown at checkout.

What your friends see in the Valheim server browser.

Names the save file. Letters, numbers, spaces, - and _ only.

The password players type to join. Not your account password.

  • At least 5 characters. Valheim quits at startup below that, without saying why.
  • It must not appear inside the server name or the world name — same silent failure.

Up to 10 letters or numbers. The same seed always generates the same map, so if you have found one you like, enter it here. Leave it blank and we will roll a fresh one for you.

Crossplay

Let Xbox and Microsoft Store players join alongside Steam.

Crossplay needs an always-on plan. A sleeping world comes back with a new six-character join code, so anyone who saved the old one cannot find it.

Mod support is included. No optional mods are installed until you choose them in your dashboard.

World Modifiers

  • These change the world itself — everyone who plays in it, not a setting for one player.
  • They are written into the world's save file the moment the server starts with them set, so they take effect on an existing world too, not only a brand new one.
  • Turning an individual difficulty slider or checkbox back to normal on its own is not something the game supports once a world exists — only applying a full preset resets everything at once, including anything else you had customised. Changing your mind about one setting later usually means re-choosing the whole preset.
  • Fire Hazards is a real Valheim world setting but is not offered here: the dedicated server has no startup option for it at all, only the in-game admin console does, which this application cannot reach.

Starting point for everything below. "Normal" is vanilla Valheim.

Toggles
Bring an existing world

Moving a world from another host or a local game? Say so here and we will ask for the files right after checkout, before your server is built — a world has to be in place before the first start or the game generates one and yours has nowhere to go.

Nothing is charged at this step. You will see the total, including VAT, before you confirm.
