Acceptable Use Policy

This policy exists so one customer cannot spoil the service for everyone else, and so we stay on the right side of the law. It is short because the rules are obvious.

Do not

• Use the service for anything unlawful, or to store or distribute unlawful material.
• Attack anyone from our network, or use it to scan, flood, or disrupt other systems.
• Attempt to break out of your server environment, access another customer's data, or interfere with our infrastructure.
• Run software unrelated to your Valheim server. These are game servers, not general-purpose compute — no mining, no proxies, no bulk mail.
• Deliberately consume resources beyond your plan in a way that degrades other customers.
• Harass others, or run a server whose purpose is harassment or hate.
• Resell the service as your own without a written agreement with us.

Mods and third-party code

You may install the mods we offer. You are responsible for making sure you are entitled to use them and that they respect their authors' licences. We may refuse or remove a mod that is unlawful, malicious, or that destabilises the machine.

How we enforce it

For most problems we contact you first and give you a chance to put it right. For serious matters — an active attack, unlawful content, or something threatening other customers — we may suspend the server immediately and tell you afterwards.

Suspension for a breach of this policy does not entitle you to a refund. Your world data remains downloadable for 30 days as described in our Terms of Service, unless retaining it would itself be unlawful.

Reporting a problem

If you believe a server we host is being used in breach of this policy, email support@bifrosthosting.com with as much detail as you can. We investigate every report.
